How can digital technology help us organize the ecological transition?
At the start of a new year marked by the "thawing" of health measures on the one hand, and the "refreezing" of geopolitical tensions on the other, for the first time since the Cold War, what role do we want citizen technologies to play?
This month we continue our exploration of the intersections between technologies, ecologies and distributed governance.
In a nutshell:
Official presentation of Decidim in Geneva.
Takeover of Lausanne Participe.
Octree joins Après-Ge.
Civic tech in transition seminar #2: presentation of the Swiss civic tech barometer
Citizen participation technologies have the potential to lead the ecological transition. Carol Romero, president of the association behind the free participatory technology Decidim, will present this tool on February 28 (next Monday).
Genève en transition is organizing 3 meetings with Swiss actors to initiate a federative approach around these issues.
You are invited to participate, online!
Octree supports the Lausanne Participe citizen platform
Launched just over a year ago, the Lausanne Participe citizen participation platform is now being supported by the team in its technical and strategic aspects.
Like its sister platforms in Zurich, Lucerne and Geneva, Lausanne Participe is based on Decidim open-source software.
Octree joins the social economy chamber
We're in. We're finally members ofaprès-ge, Geneva's social economy chamber. As an autonomous, self-managed Lean Startup Studio active in the ecological transition, it's obvious to us that the economy must be social and inclusive.
Pssst... reserve your afternoon on April 29. A surprise is in store...
The whole team looks forward to seeing you in person this spring!
